PR5 The incredible library
Postcard packsWe're offering two postcard designs for ALW99: one of an eclipse, highlighting an undiscovered horizon -- perhaps an inspiration to boldly go where no librarian has gone before, and the other based on our larger comic-styled poster.PC5/6 150mm x 100mm postcard packs are available in packs of 20, with 10 of each design (AUD$10.00). The reverse of each postcard is identical, and has room to write a reasonable-length message as well as an address. We even left room for a postage stamp. Next time you want to make an impact, drop one in the postbox to a friend, a politician, your boss...
N.B. If sufficient interest is shown, the 'eclipse' postcard may be produced as a large-format poster in the future.
Bookmark packs and balloons
The ALW 99 bookmarks [BM5/6 60mm x 200mm] combine elements from current posters and postcards. Each is printed on the front only, allowing for individual printing or overprinting on the reverse. To make the bookmarks more durable, we have increased the paper thickness. Bookmarks are sold in packs of 20 (AUD$10.00)or 50 (AUD$21.00), containing equal numbers of each design. Balloons [B5/10] are available in a range of colours and in packs of 50 (AUD$16.00) or 100 (AUD$26.00), and feature the words "Libraries. Explore and discover" with the ALIA logo above. The actual size of the printing in relation to the balloon is not quite as depicted above, but at least you get the general idea. Stickers This year we have stickers once again! These small and versatile self-adhesive stickers [ST4 64mm x 34mm.] can be used anywhere you want to promote your ALW 99 activities. They come in packs of 40 (AUD$10.00) and are perfect for attaching to letterheads, envelopes, foreheads and correspondence. We've made the peel-off backing easier to improve, for those without razor-sharp fingernails.
We always have a heavy demand for stickers, so make sure that you order as early as possible. Be imaginative! Put them where they are noticeable! But use them fast, as they aren't quite as much use after the event (the date of Australian Library Week 1999 is printed in the bottom right corner). Our promotional kit
To make all of your activities really come together you may wish to consider purchasing a copy of our promotional kit, All day, every day [KT8], a perfect pack of information for the promotion of your library and/or information resources. The manual is an A4-sized and ring-bound collection of information with ideas on how best to promote your activities. Full of ideas and clip art and suggestions for making the public stand up (or sit down) and take notice of your efforts to promote your services. If you really want to get maximum value from your pre-ordered posters and other items, then please buy a copy of this book! Buy two copies and send one to your friends to help them promote their library. Buy three and hold a tupperware and library promotion party.
