Armadale Public Library will have a display promoting 'what a modern library has to offer' located in the Armadale Shopping Center for the duration of Australian Library Week.

Mandurah Public Library will host prominent local community members as 'celebrity librarians' for an hour each morning during Australian Library Week.

City of Melville Public Libraries will have a display promoting the City's Library Service in the new shopping centre at Kardinya Park during Australian Library Week. In keeping with the theme Libraries: here for the long run staff in all five City of Melville Libraries will be dressing 'sporty/fitness' with specially printed rugby shirts, and a Cybrarian colouring competition will also be conducted in City of Melville Libraries and local schools.

Narrogin Public Library will host local identities as 'honorary librarians' between 10:30am & 11:30am and 3:30pm & 4:30pm for each day (except Tuesday) of Australian Library Week.

State Reference Library/Alexander Library Teams within the State Reference Library have come together to provide a series of displays that will be featured simultaneously throughout the library during Australian Library Week. The displays, while each having a different theme are linked using a 'time-line' -- Antiquity -- Arts and Literature Library, Middle Ages -- Social Science Library and Music & Performing Arts Library, Today -- Industry and Technology Library, Tomorrow -- Business and Management Library. Each display can be easily identified within the library by the accompanying Australian Library Week promotional materials.

City of Swan Public Libraries will be having an 'amnesty' for people to return 'stray' library materials -- no questions asked! Boxes will be placed outside all City of Swan Public Libraries during Australian Library Week.

Coolbellup Public Library Family Fun Day The Coolbellup Public Library and Cockburn Family Support Service join in a combined celebration of Australian Library Week and Family Week (WA). The library will be open all day and there will be fun filled activities for families to enjoy, including magicians, storytellers, farm animals, face painting, horizontal bungee and a parenting talk. There will also be a roaming fiddler, bookstall and prizes for winners of the colouring competition. The day will end with a small afternoon tea in the library. 90 Cordelia Avenue, Coolbellup, 9:00am-4:00pm.

WA Local Studies Section Picnic & Local Studies Tour
Meet at Peter Cowan Writers Centre/Edith Cowan House at 12:30pm for a BYO picnic in the grounds followed by a brief tour of the House. Joondalup Campus, Edith Cowan University, Joondalup.
At 2:00pm move on to the Joondalup Centre Regional Library where Barbara Hellriegel will show the Local Studies Collection and a display on Luisini's Winery.
At 3:30pm journey to Cockman House (Entry fee: $1.50 per person) where afternoon tea will be served.
