15 May Willoughby Library Breakfast:
Join us on the front lawn of the Civic Centre in Victoria Avenue Chatswood for free breakfast goodies, give-aways, balloons and information about the Library. You will be able to join the library on the spot. Look out for the Lifecheck van, stall and Library staff in their colourful t-shirts. Proof of name and address required. 8-9am.

15 May Pittwater Library Service Pittwater local studies web site:
(Invitation only) This web site aims to make an interesting presentation of local history to enable people to learn more about the Pittwater local area as well as making them aware of resources available at Mona Vale Library. The site has maps, photographs, excerpts of articles and descriptions of the local area not readily available. There is also an interactive noticeboard for people to contribute their memories or information. You can view the site by clicking the local studies button on the Pittwater library service web site at http://www.pittlink.net

16 May Willoughby Library Globe-trotting:
Thinking of a holiday? Come to our Travel Expo at the Central Library and discover the wealth of information the library holds on countries all over the world including Australia, of course. Local travel agents, Jetset Travel, Northbridge Travel, National World Travel and Chung Pak Travel, will be displaying their brochures and travel information packages for you to pick up, explore our special travellers web site which will be set up on all our computers and borrow from our extensive collection of travel books on the night. You might even be the winner of our lucky door prize! Special guest speaker Tim Bowden will present his new travel tale Penelope -- Bungles to Broome at 6:45pm. 5:30-7:30pm.

A National Simultaneous Storytime will be held throughout Australia in public and primary school libraries. Bring your little ones to the Childrens Library for this special story telling of Edward the Emu by our librarians. 10:30am.
