12 May Richmond Library Victorian CBC judge will be speaking on the CBC shorlisted books for this years awards. School, children's and general librarians, along with parents and other interested members of the public are invited to attend.

12-18 May BRIT Library are going with an Austin Powers theme for Australian Library and Information Week 2003. The Library foyer will be decked out in sixties decor ala the Electric Psychedelic Pussycat Swinger's Club from the first Austin Powers movie and Library staff will be in costume either 13 May or 14 May.
Bayside Libraries LIW activities in all four libraries: a special Mother's day storytime with a craft activity; Tai Chi and Pilates yoga presentation; mosaics workshop; genealogy demonstration; presentation on Scottish Heritage, bookclubs for both children and adults, a special performance by the renowned classical guitarist William van Pinxterenn and what is sure to be a very popular dog-training session featuring the adorable border collie, 'Pippa'. 13 May Vic Library Technicians National Library Technicians Day dinner. Glenferrie Hotel, corner Glenferrie and Burwood Roads, 6:00pm for 6:30pm. Everyone is welcome, but RSVPs are essential Tricia Murray (please remove '.nospam' from address).
