About the opportunity
The University of Sydney Library offers a wide range of high-quality information services to University students, staff and the community to support their learning, teaching, research and scholarship endeavors. The Library supports the University to achieve its internationally recognised research and scholarship profile by providing access to high quality print and electronic information resources and information management services. Library staff work in partnership with the academic community to provide convenient access to high quality information resources. Library environments provide highly valued technology, enriching learning spaces and 24/7 opening hours.
The Library provides services under four major divisions:
- Central Services
- Site Services
- Academic Services
- Access Services
The Site Services division manages non-digital resources, membership, loan and information enquiries and provides management of the Library’s physical environment and study spaces across multiple sites. The team provide innovative and technology enabled support services across multiple sites; including in-person and online advisory, outreach and student engagement activities.
As Site Resources Assistant, you will enjoy a multi-faceted role supporting clients to access services and information resources (at various library sites). You will ensure that print collections are in good order, assist with a range of collection maintenance tasks, participating in digitisation activities and contributing to the upkeep of learning spaces and client equipment.

Flexibility is essential, with staff working across the various library locations and delivering service in the evening and on weekends. The University Library reserves the right to transfer or rotate the location of this position to any of its Library sites based on workloads, professional development or business needs. Experience of working in a library or learning support environment is desirable.
