An exciting opportunity exists to join the Library’s Collection Services team at the Bathurst campus and work in an Academic library environment.
Take an active role in leading Collection Services staff in the acquisition of new materials in all formats, and liaise with Information Librarians and academic staff to support the University’s teaching and research programs. The position will be responsible for managing non-recurrent budget allocations and providing advice around the acquisitions budget, leading a small team and driving a culture of high quality client focused services.
This position would ideally suit someone with a passion for providing a high quality client focused service and/ or someone looking to step up into a leadership role.
To be successful you will have:
- A degree with relevant experience, with eligibility for Associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
- Previous experience in the acquisition and or management of information resources.
- Demonstrated commitment to supporting a culture of high quality, client focused services.
- Strong communication skills with demonstrated ability to build effective relationships and networks.

The Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is responsible for the operation of the Faculties and the learning support services at the University including the Division of Learning and Teaching and the Division of Library Services. This includes responsibility for the University’s course profile and, with Academic Senate, course and learning and teaching quality. The Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) is also a member of the Vice-Chancellors Leadership Team.
The Office of the Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) provides high level executive and administrative support to the Provost and Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic) and the portfolio.
