Senior Administrator: Library Information Systems (HEO 7)

- Salary range: $85,467 - $96,150 per annum (plus super)

With five campus libraries and a growing research collection with over 700,000 eBooks and online journals as well as print resources and archival collections the University of South Australia Library supports the University’s teaching learning and research mission through provision of relevant information resources and associated services.
We have an exciting new opportunity within the Library for a Senior Administrator who will be responsible at the operational level for overseeing the daily administration, configuration and enhancements undertaken to Library information management systems, resources and services.
Key elements of the role are; ensuring the reliability and availability of the Library’s information management systems, maintaining documentation in relation to system specifications, configuration settings and change controls, as well as coordinating continuous improvements in Library technology services and functions.
Skills and Experience
We are looking for an individual with experience of working in an administrative capacity within a Library environment who has experience configuring the metadata environment, and overseeing the management of electronic information resources, bibliographic authority records and change controls.
A clear understanding of policies, procedures and legislative requirements relevant to the University, combined with the ability to be innovative and creative in providing advice and solutions to service needs are essential to be successful this role.
Familiarity with the impact of digital technologies on all aspects of library services and resources, with advanced knowledge of HTML, MARC and XML coding are desirables in this role.
