Have you ever thought about writing a blog and weren’t sure how to get started? Perhaps you have too many thoughts going on and want to share these with others! Or maybe you already have a blog and want to add a little finesse to your writing or site. In conjunction with the Shut Up and Write Tuesday series,  ALIA QLD is pleased to host a panel discussion all about blogging with expert panel members to tell us how it’s done and why even blog at all.

In May this year Library Managers, Librarians, Library Technicians and other Interlibrary Loan interested parties got together at the National Library of Australia, Canberra for the ShareIt Mini Conference, to discuss the future of Interlibrary Loans.

Join us for a report of what happen, what was discussed, and what the future holds for Interlibrary Loans.

TropicALIA Midwinter Fireside Chat with a mystery library guest

CityLibraries Townsville would like to invite TropicALIA members to a special event. We can't reveal the identity of our very special guest speaker, but can say they have travelled many thousands of kilometres to be here. They are an experienced and highly regarded library speaker, writer, teacher and researcher.There will be a chance to network with colleagues from other libraries, listen to a presentation, and participate in a Q&A with the speaker.Morning tea will be provided. The event is free.
