Come along in your best 1930s themed outfits!

Let's celebrate US! Libraries, librarians and information professionals, working together for the betterment of our profession and our communities for 80+ years!

There will be dancing, food, birthday cake and barefoot bowls (if you’re game!).

The evening will also include a special presentation for members who have been a part of the Association for 30, 40 or 50 years.

Tickets are $10 each for ALIA members, $30 for non-ALIA members and FREE if you are recieving a pin.

Are you stuck in a rut within your own library sector and looking for a change?
Do you want a career in a particular library sector but do not know how to get there?
Public, Academic, School, Law, or Special library sectors – there are many to choose from but how do you get into one;
and is there any truth in the rumour that once you gain work in one sector, you cannot change over to another?

Our speakers will share their experiences and provide some great advice on how to successfully cross-over library sectors.

ALIA HLA: Advanced Searching Workshop: Advanced Search Techniques for Systematic Reviews, HTA and Guidelines (Workshop for Researchers)

This full day session (9am – 4pm) will provide opportunities to learn new techniques, to discuss best approaches, to share insights and to assess variations in current best practice. The workshop will be facilitated by Carol Lefebvre who is experienced in literature searching to inform systematic reviews and HTAs and in conducting research into the evidence base for information retrieval.
