RIP sheeba

Sheeba the sk8 dog died in December 2010. We had five years sk8ing together and we met when she was about five. She had a good life, and now she's riding the half pipe of heaven. I miss her by my side when i ride the half pipe down here.

sheeba's sponsors

Sheeba was always looking for new sponsors, because she too paw to buy a new deck.

She was riding am for schmackos, but eukanuba were trying to poach her.

If you're not convinced of Sheeba's undying love for concrete, check out Tyson the Skateboarding Bulldog
Sheeb and I hadn't shredded it up so much before she died, but every time she heard those wheels when we were out, her ears pricked up, her tail wagged, and she panted, "We're going for a roll!" Now you roll beside me everywhere i am.

the rules of sk8 dogging

Always take a bucket of water with you. If you're shaggy like Sheeba or you're doing lots of slobber slides, it can get pretty hot and you need to replace those fluids. A dirty puddle doesn't count, although skating next to a river can be fun (eg Nedlands).

If pup doesn't want to get on the board today, wait until tomorrow. Even Sheeba thought it was pretty scary the first time.

Teach pup to push switch, so she doesn't wear out the pads of her paws on only one side.

Add a tennis ball to the mix to enhance the experience (eg Subi Bowl).

A skate dog likes nothing better than to land a trick, sit down, and lick her bum in celebration.

Don't let pup grab the bumper of your car and skitch. Dogs and cars don't mix.
