Holly Godfree, Campaign Coordinator, Students Need School Libraries
Holly Godfree coordinates the Students Need School Libraries campaign, striving to ensure that every student has access to a dynamic, well-resourced school library run by qualified library staff. Her experiences include 15 years of teaching in primary schools and six in senior secondary, eleven years of school library advocacy work, and sessional marking at Charles Sturt University. In 2019, Holly was named the ASLA Australian Teacher Librarian of the Year.
Mali Jorm, Teacher Librarian, Melba Copland Secondary School
Mali Jorm is a leading innovator in information management in schools. Passionate about design, marketing, and gamification, Mali is an affirmative educator who has worked with primary, secondary and adult education students. They bring a research-driven mindset to library services, curating innovative programs with excellent student engagement and circulation outcomes. Mali brings together diverse skills in media, teacher librarianship, game design and visual communication to create exciting information spaces and products.
Dr Kay Oddone, Project Officer, University of South Queensland
Dr Kay Oddone has over 20 years of experience in the fields of education and librarianship. She has taught across all levels from Prep through to Post Grad and has held a variety of role including Classroom Teacher, Assistant Principal, Teacher Librarian, Learning Designer and Lecturer. Will Kostakis, Author
Will Kostakis is the award-winning author of The First Third, The Sidekicks, the Monuments duology and The Greatest Hit, a novella about falling in (and out) of love in lockdown. An advocate for young readers and writers, Will was awarded the 2020 Maurice Saxby Award by the School Library Association of New South Wales for service to children's and young adult literature.
