Thank you to all our ALIA Volunteers

Canberra, 15 May 2020: During National Volunteer Week 2020, the Board of Directors of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA) would like to thank everyone who volunteers across the Association and for the library and information science profession. ‘The theme for National Volunteer Week 2020 is ‘Changing Communities, Changing Lives’. Every day, ALIA Members improve peoples’ lives through their volunteer work. They increase capacity, enhance reach to Members, act as ambassadors, and expand organisational visibility in the community. Volunteers add value in so many ways’ ALIA President Viv Barton, said.

ALIA would like to thank all those who volunteer in the sector, whether it is through ALIA Groups, ALIA Committees, writing for INCITE, or in any other way.
