ALIA is pleased to announce that three attendance grants for the New Librarians’ Symposium 2019 (NLS9) have been made available by the International Librarians Network. The grant may be awarded to individuals from any part of the world, professional sector or career stage.
These grants are worth $800 AUD each and can be applied for by persons who meet the following conditions.
- The applicant must not have attended an ALIA New Librarian Symposium before;
- The applicant must be willing to share their experience via their local ALIA State Manager in a manner to be agreed between the applicant and the State Manager;
- The applicant must be eligible to obtain a visa for travel if required;
- The applicant must declare that they are able to fund all other costs beyond the grant that are involved in attending NLS9.
To apply submit a curriculum vitae and a statement of motivation (up to 200 words) describing the benefits that the applicant hopes to gain from attendance. Applications are due by 5:00pm AEST 10 May 2019 and should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org.
