The theme for Library and Information Week 2019 is Truth Integrity, Knowledge. This theme recognises all the ways that libraries support and further truth, integrity and knowledge.

National Simultaneous Storytime (NSS) is held annually by the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA).
Health Libraries Australia (HLA) are holding their Professional Development Event for 2019 at Monash University, Caulfield Campus, Melbourne on Thursday and Friday the 18th and 19th July. We would like to acknowledge our hosts – Tomas Zahora and his team at Monash University, Caulfield.
This years theme is;
Library Lovers' Day will be held again in 2019, as always on 14 February. The theme for this year is 'Library Love Stories' and ALIA is running a flash fiction story competition open to all Australians.

This year we have changed the online forum to the webinar mode. The first webinar for the year is titled: Dyslexia in Reading – What we need to know and will be held via GoToWebinar on Tuesday 8 May 2018 at 7.30pm AEST.
It is essential to build capacity to teach learners with disability as well as to consider one’s teaching context and to understand the characteristics and needs of our learners. Participants will have the opportunity to learn about Dyslexia in reading and how to support students.
