Designing With Canva: Advanced Workshop

Following on from last month's Beginner Workshop, Jade Koekoe and ALIA Vic invite you to join us for a deeper dive into Canva's graphic design tools and tricks.

Learn how to use the advanced functions of Canva to develop your library's brand with promotional images, fliers, posters, brochures, and more; and go beyond the basic tools to learn about some of the hidden features and tricks.

Canva is a free online graphic design program for creating simple eye-catching designs for event promotion, displays, brochures, and much more. Miss Koko is presenting an introductory workshop suitable for all skill levels.

ALIA SNGG Victoria is happy to present Jade Koekoe, an Online Presence Specialist who wants to spend an hour (or two) helping you fix that. Come along to our workshop where Jade will cover: 

  • What an Online Presence is.
  • Creating a Personal Brand and using it.
  • Benefits and pitfalls of an Online Presence.
  • What you can customise on social media so people know they have found you.


ALIA Schools - Reading for Everyone

The school library is pivotal in promoting and supporting reading, literature and literacy. Achieving success in reading enable students to be effective learners. What role does the school library and/or the teacher librarian have on the impact this success?

A variety of presenters will discuss a series of issues pertaining to achieving success in reading and literacy. In addition there will be a workshop to analyse effective measures in reading promotion.

ALIA Vic invites you to come along to a fun, low-key board game night! Bring a friend, bring your family, or come by yourself and enjoy an evening of board games, delicious food, and the company of your fellow library industry colleagues.


A wide variety of board games will be available, including all the classics such as Trivial Pursuit, Pictionary, Scrabble, Risk, Monopoly, Guess Who, and heaps more.
