Payment options
All amounts are in Australian dollars and are inclusive of Goods and Services Tax (GST) of 10%.
Members: Members can complete payments via credit card (VISA and MasterCard), or by applying any credits on their account. These purchases can be completed in our shop cart on our website at point of sale.
Non-members: Non-members can complete payments via credit card only (VISA and MasterCard). Purchases must be completed in our shop cart on our website at point of sale.
Company Administrators of member institutions and industry partners can choose a ‘pay later’ option at checkout that will generate an invoice that can be used to complete an EFT or BPAY payment.
Personal members and non-company administrator institution staff can request a ‘pay later’ invoice be generated for the purposes of EFT or BPAY payment by making a request with ALIA staff. This request may be agreed to at the sole discretion of ALIA.
Events & Training
General
Late Registration
Registration for all events and training will close on deadlines as specified within the event listing.
ALIA may accept late registrations at its sole discretion however payment must be completed via credit card at the time of booking unless another payment method is approved for institutional members by ALIA. Please check individual event listings for more details.
Cancellations and Refunds
For webinars cancellations, refunds and transfers are available until a deadline specified within the event listing. Please look at the specific event listing for more information. After this date no cancellations, refunds, or transfers will be available.
For conferences and symposia, cancellation refund policies are specified within the event itself, please refer to the documentation for that event for more information.
Change of details, transfers, & shared registrations
We can process a change of registration details, including transferring the registration to another individual, up until the deadline specified within the event listing.
Registrations can be transferred to other individuals at no cost up to the deadline specified within the event listing. Please check individual listings for more information.
ALIA does not allow or recognise shared registrations.
Bulk Registrations
Bulk registrations for events and training are available to ALIA institutional members at the discretion of ALIA. Please email [email protected] for more information.
Training
ALIA offers training courses through our events and training calendar. Cancellation and refund policies are specified within the training listing itself, please refer to specific training documentation for more information.
ALIA also offers self-paced training courses, available for purchase through the ALIA shop. You can find terms and conditions related to self-paced training courses purchased through the ALIA shop in the Shop section below.

General
Refunds and Returns
ALIA does not offer change of mind refunds, returns or exchanges for items purchased from the ALIA shop.
Self-paced training courses
Purchase of a self-paced training course from the ALIA shop grants one individual user access to the purchased course. If the self-paced training course has been purchased on behalf of another individual, that training course can be transferred within a week of purchase. Transfers can be completed by emailing [email protected]. Transfers can only be completed if the training course has not been started by the individual who purchased the course.
Certificates of completion are provided only to registered individuals who successfully complete the course.

Physical items
Customers take responsibility for ensuring that shipping and billing information is correct. All deliveries are shipped through Australia Post; ALIA does not take responsibility for parcels once they have left our office and is unable to provide refunds or replacement product in the case of lost parcels or damage in transit. Membership
ALIA offers Personal, Institutional and Industry Partner memberships. Personal memberships can be paid on an annual or monthly basis, with multi-year and life membership terms also available. Institutional and Industry Partner memberships are paid on an annual basis.
Annual Membership invoices for Personal, Institutional and Industry Partner members are generated in advance of the due date and can be accessed in the ‘my purchases’ tab of your member centre (or the transactions tab in an institutional member centre for institutions and industry partners). Personal monthly membership invoices are created in the last week of the prior month.
Membership invoices include instructions for completing payment via EFT, BPAY or credit card; These payment options are available for annual membership payments. Monthly membership payments must be completed via an automatic credit card or direct debit payment that is set up during the member join process.

Cancellations and Refunds
Membership can be cancelled at any time by emailing [email protected] with a membership cancellation request, including your membership ID number and your reason for cancellation in the email. Cancellation of membership removes access to member benefits and resources. Your login and all information on your profile will still exist, if you would like your data erased, please make a request with [email protected].
If a membership is paid annually and a cancellation is made within 1 month of the paid through date the membership payment will be refunded. After this 1 month period has lapsed, or if a membership is paid monthly, there are no refunds.
Changes in Membership Type
A member may wish to change their membership type due to a change of life circumstance; starting studies, graduating, retiring, etc. We accept requests to change membership type at any time. A change of member type can affect how much a membership costs, please see our website for more information about membership fees.
If a membership is paid annually and a change request is made within 1 month of your paid through date your new membership fees will be automatically applied to your existing membership invoice. This applies to both paid and unpaid membership invoices. In the instance of paid membership invoices payment will be refunded, or additional payment will be required as appropriate to the specific invoice.
Any changes to membership fees that are made mid-membership period will be applied to the next membership renewal that is created. The new membership type will be applied to an individual after the membership application has been assessed and applied.
Other
The ALIA Terms and Conditions specified in this document are applied in conjunction with other ALIA policies, terms and conditions that otherwise exist. Any decisions around the specific application of ALIA policies, terms and conditions are completed at the sole discretion of ALIA.

ALIA reserves the right to change or update these terms and conditions at any time. Any updated version these terms and conditions will be available from ALIA’s website. These Terms and Conditions were last updated in April 2026.
National Conference 2026
Member Registrations
You must be a current ALIA member (personal member or staff of institutional member or industry partner) before registering at the member rate. Contact our membership team at [email protected] for more details on becoming an ALIA member or to check your current membership details.
Standard Registrations
Standard registrations open 24 September 2025.
Credit card payment will be the only payment method accepted for personal members.
Registrations close at 5pm AEDT on 30 April 2026. No registrations will be accepted after this date. All registrations must be paid in full prior to the conference beginning.
Concession Registrations
Concession registrations are available to ALIA student members and retiree members. To access concession pricing, you need to be logged into your ALIA personal membership account.
Share Registrations
ALIA does not allow or recognise shared registrations.
Privacy
ALIA complies with the National Privacy Principles set out in the Commonwealth Act 1988 and reaffirmed in the Privacy Act (Private Sector) Amendment Act 2000 which came into effect in law in December 2001.
Unless required by law the Association will not disclose personal information about an individual unless the individual has provided consent, either at the time of providing the information or following a specific request. In registering for this conference, your relevant details will be included on a delegate list which will be distributed to all delegates, sponsors and exhibitors and conference organisers. Please advise us during the registration process if you do not consent for your details to be included on the delegate list.

Media
Media passes are available for this conference at ALIA's discretion. Media attendees will be required to pre-register by contacting the ALIA Events Team at [email protected] and may be required to produce accreditation.
Photography
In registering for this conference, you accept that various events at the conference and satellite events may be photographed, video or audio recorded and that this content may be used by ALIA at its discretion on website, social media, newsletters or other promotional material.
Payment

Payment may be made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) or EFT. Credit card payment will be the only payment method accepted four weeks prior to the start of the conference. All registrations must be paid in full prior to the start of the conference.
Cancellation and Amendments
Requests for cancellations to your registration must be submitted in writing to ALIA.

- 31 January 2026 will receive a full refund,
- 5pm 10 April 2026 will receive a refund less 20% of your total registration charge
- No refunds will be given after 5:00pm 10 April 2026.
Registrations can be transferred to other individuals at no cost (in the same registration category) up until 30 April 2026 5pm AEST.
